French River Trading Post

For over 60 years, the French River Trading Post has been a destination and tradition for travellers of Highway 69. Founded in 1956 by Bill Biggs and his parents, Lorne and Edith, the Trading Post has expanded from a small gift shop on a gravel road, to a thriving hospitality business complete with dining and world class service.  The company continues to flourish and serve thousands of customers each season under the leadership of Bill’s wife, owner/operator Diane Biggs and her daughter Tracey.

Canadian-made moccasins, souvenirs, local First Nations handicraft, and our famous cream and butter fudge made fresh in-house are just a few of the treasures that families from all over have come to expect from the Trading Post.
